Police Requirements
In order to run the Zoo2Zoo, the following Police Requirements are required to be met:

Bicycle Ride from Sydney to Dubbo over 3 days (60 riders) and Canberra to Dubbo (15 riders) over 3 days from Friday 16th - Sunday 18th October 2009.

Traffic Management Plan for entire event.

Number of escort and support vehicles. One at front and one at rear, minimum required.
One car at the front and one at the rear.
Measures to be applied to safeguard participants and the general public in the event. Signage on vehicles "Caution", pedestrians/riders/runners ahead and following.
The front and rear support cars will have orange flashing lights attached to the roof, as well as signs warning "CAUTION Cyclists ahead and behind"
Size and design of warning signs fitted to vehicles. Must comply to NSW, RTA and Australian Road Rules specifications. 900mm x 400mm, yellow/orange background with black lettering, 170mm, proportionate to the sign of the sign.
Each car will have a 900mm x 400mm yellow sign with "CAUTION Cyclists ahead and behind" in 170mm lettering.
Public Liability Insurance Policy, copy to be attached to be attached to application. To be included on the policy as parties of interest: New South Wales Police Force, New South Wales Government, The New South Wales Roads and Traffic Authority.

Names, contact numbers and addresses, (not post office box numbers) of all persons involved in organisation of event.

Permission to be obtained from Local Government Authorities, (Councils) only where the event will utilise Council Facilities or road closures are required.
No Council or road closures are required.
Indication whether or not, the event will impact on public transport.
Public Transport will not be impacted.
The number of Police resources required, if any, under The NSW Police Force Cost Recovery and User Charges Policy.
No Police Resources will be required.
