Sydney Zoo2Zoo Registrations Open
The 9th annual Sydney to  Dubbo Zoo2Zoo will be held from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 October 2014. The route  will be same as 2013 and the numbers capped at 75 riders and 15 support. The registration process is a two stage affair. Firstly please set up an "Everyday  Hero" to help us support the
great work the Black Dog Institute do to assist  people who suffer Mental Illness.

Please note, you only have to set up one page per year - those that did the Canberra and Gulgong rides can continue to raise  money through
those pages.

Please click here to set up a page:
Everyday Hero Page Setup

Once you have set up a page, we will send you a link to register for the Sydney ride. At this stage we have  sent out 27 registration links to those that have set up an EDH page. For more  information, please contact sydney@zoo2zoo.com

Gulgong Zoo2Zoo
On Saturday 1 March 2014 ten cyclists and four support set out on the inaugural Gulgong Zoo2Zoo. It was a great 2 days  riding of just over 300km and was the perfect preparation for the Canberra  Zoo2Zoo. Many thanks to the great support crew of Bev Winters, Maureen McKay, Ritchie McKay and Ken Williams who made the ride so enjoyable for all concerned. The hospitality shown by the "Ten Dollar Motel" was second to none!

Canberra Zoo2Zoo
On Friday 7 March 2014, 42 cyclists and  12 support set out from the National Zoo in Canberra for the 3 day ride to Dubbo's Taronga Western Plains Zoo.
After 467km and over $50,000 raised for the  Black Dog Institute, we arrived safely.

The ride would be  impossible to conduct without the tireless work of the Support Crew. Clem Kyle,  Jennifer O'Reilly, Cindy Wilson, Bev Winters, Maureen McKay, Ritchie McKay, Fiona Macrae, Ellie Grattan, Lisa Ridgwell, Ruth Handley and Ken Williams worked so efficiently and in such high spirits over the whole weekend. The catering on  day 1 would have been impossible without the help of Kristen and Ollie Kyle, as  well as Clem's parents Clem and Eileen.

For photos etc, please  check out our new Facebook Page or refer to the website
www.zoo2zoo.com in the next week or so.

Fundraising
The Zoo2Zoo is proud to continue its support of the Black Dog Institute in 2014. The Black Dog Institute is a not for profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mood disorders through their high quality research, clinical expertise and education programs.

Last year, Zoo2Zoo participants raised over $200,000 for the Black Dog Institute.  Just as importantly, we had over 200 people proudly raising the profile of the Black Dog Institute and making a statement about mental health issues.

So far this year we have raised in excess of $50,000 for the Black Dog Institute. The top fundraisers for 2014 thus far are:

Christian Johansson - $7,231.00
Sean Duggan - $5,995.00
Mark Handley - $4,610.00
Geoff Donnelly - $3,879.50
Mike Baldwin - $3,703.00
Maree Williams - $3,575.00

There are no minimum fundraising requirements for Zoo2Zoo events, but it is expected that each participant will create a Zoo2Zoo Everyday Hero fundraising page and participate in the spirit of fundraising and awareness for the cause.
