Sydney Zoo2Zoo Filling Quickly!
The 9th annual Sydney to Dubbo Zoo2Zoo is almost sold out. Of the 75 spots available, 65 have been snapped up, leaving only 10 left for the 3 day ride from Sydney to Dubbo to be held from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 October 2014.
The registration process is a two stage affair. Firstly please set up an "Everyday Hero" to help us support the great work the Black Dog Institute do to assist people who suffer Mental Illness. Please note, you only have to set up one page per year - those that did the Canberra and Gulgong rides can continue to raise money through those pages. Please click here to set up a page: Everyday Hero Page Setup
Once you have set up a page, we will send you a link to register for the Sydney ride. At this stage we have sent out 65 registration links to those that have
set up an EDH page, and of those 35 have paid up and are ready to roll. For more information, please contact sydney@zoo2zoo.com
Zoo2Zoo and Tour de Cure
I am sure everyone is watching the great Tour de Cure bike ride that is on at the moment from Sydney to Hobart Tour de Cure. One of the Zoo2Zoo committee members Andrew McKay, was fortunate enough to do support crew for the 2013 Signature Tour from Adelaide to Canberra, and this year a 2 day guest rider stage from Sydney to Canberra. It is crucial for multi days rides to help each other in making riding on busy roads as safe as possible.
We wish Zoo2Zoo Alumni; Philippe Konfino, Tim Brown, David Curran and Keith Harris all the best as the make their way to Hobart.

Fundraising
The Zoo2Zoo is proud to continue its support of the Black Dog Institute in 2014. The Black Dog Institute is a not for profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mood disorders through their high quality research, clinical expertise and education programs.
Last year, Zoo2Zoo participants raised over $200,000 for the Black Dog Institute. Just as importantly, we had over 200 people proudly raising the profile of the Black Dog Institute and making a statement about mental health issues.
So far this year we have raised in excess of $50,000 for the Black Dog Institute. The top fundraisers for 2014 thus far are:
Christian Johansson - $7,231.00
Sean Duggan - $5,995.00
Mark Handley - $4,610.00
Geoff Donnelly - $3,879.50
Mike Baldwin - $3,725.00
Maree Williams - $3,703.00
There are no minimum fundraising requirements for Zoo2Zoo events, but it is expected that each participant will create a Zoo2Zoo Everyday Hero fundraising page and participate in the spirit of fundraising and awareness for the cause.
